Mission Statement: The purpose of the guild shall be to preserve the heritage of quilting, to be a source of information and inspiration, to give back to our community through quilting, and to be a gathering place for people with a common interest.
At the heart of CRQG is our community service. The guild members are committed to making hundreds of quilts a year for several outstanding organizations.
Baby Quilts have been made for many years and given to the NICU unit at Wesley Hospital. You can join our work days or pick up kits at the meeting to work on at home.
Victory in the Valley provides support and encouragement to cancer patients.
Veterans Quilts are made for local veterans and service members, touched by war. They have a patriotic theme.
Workshops are held on the first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month at the Rose Room from 9am-4pm. This is a great way to get to know other members outside the general meeting.
Each year a quilt is made to raise money to fund the guild’s activities and speaker fees. Members are asked to sell tickets and the drawing is held at the Rose Hill Fall Festival in October.

We display our Opportunity quilt and sell opportunity tickets. We also sell quilted items in the booth at the Craft Show.
This is THE best way to spend a weekend. Unlimited social time with friends where you get to sew in your pj’s and slippers if you want, very little cooking and maybe even finish a quilt top or more. Generally they are scheduled in April and November.

Some years a bus trip is planned. Past trips have gone to Paducah, Houston and regional quilt shows and shop hops.
